According to the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR), 21,000 real estate transactions were registered in June 2025 &mdash; 3.7% more than in June 2024. Uzbekistan’s real estate market showed strong activity in the first half of 2025 — 136,500 housing units were sold nationwide, marking a 10.6% increase compared to the same period last year. However, the price trend has split: while prices per square meter declined in Tashkent, they continued to rise in the regions.

According to the Central Bank, monthly inflows steadily increased: $1.06 billion in January, $1.07 billion in February, $1.21 billion in March, $1.43 billion in April, $1.64 billion in May, and $1.78 billion in June. Russia remained the dominant source, accounting for 78% of the total volume ($6.4 billion). The remaining $1.8 billion came from countries like Kazakhstan, the USA, South Korea, Turkey, the UK, Kyrgyzstan, and Lithuania. In the first half of 2025, remittances sent to Uzbekistan from abroad rose by 27% compared to the same period last year, reaching a record $8.2 billion. The majority of this inflow came from labor migrants working in Russia, the United States, and Europe.

As part of the agreements, Uzbekistan will import 100,000 head of small livestock from Mongolia, with the goal of increasing the herd to one million by 2029. The animals will be bred and adapted to local conditions through selective breeding. Farmers will benefit from state support, including 50% compensation for air transport costs, deferred VAT payments, and concessional loans for up to five years. A major focus is placed on the processing of wool and cashmere. By the end of 2025, raw materials will be imported from Mongolia, and by 2026, production of blended yarns and fabrics will begin in Uzbek textile factories. A joint venture will also be established in Mongolia with participation of Uzbek specialists. Uzbekistan&rsquo;s agricultural and food exports to Mongolia are set to increase tenfold, supported by the organization of trade fairs, the opening of a trade house, and the installation of product stands in major shopping centers in Ulaanbaatar. In return, Uzbekistan will supply Mongolia with frost-resistant fruit tree seedlings and drip irrigation technologies to establish a modern intensive orchard. The agreements also include academic cooperation: starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, Tashkent State Agrarian University and the Mongolian University of Life Sciences will launch joint master&#39;s programs. Responsibility for the implementation of the decree is assigned to relevant ministries and regional authorities.
