11 Uzbek Super League Clubs to Be Transferred to Entrepreneurs for Trust Management

Uzbekistan is launching a competition to transfer 11 professional football clubs to entrepreneurs or groups of entrepreneurs under trust management. Participants will be required to provide sponsorship funding equal to at least 20% of a club’s annual operating expenses.
The clubs include Bunyodkor, Bukhara, Dinamo, Qizilqum, Navbahor, Nasaf, Neftchi, Lokomotiv, Mash’al, AGMK and Pakhtakor. The competition is being held under a March 24, 2026 presidential resolution aimed at improving sports financing mechanisms and expanding private-sector participation.
Entrepreneurs taking over club management will receive tax and financial incentives. Corporate taxable profit can be reduced by sponsorship contributions directed to club activities, subject to a limit of 10% of taxable profit. Players in the Super League and Pro League will be exempt from personal income tax, while their social tax rate will be set at 1% from April 1, 2026, to April 1, 2029.
With liquid collateral and a viable business plan, entrepreneurs can obtain bank loans to purchase clubs or finance the construction, reconstruction and major renovation of sports facilities. Loans can run for up to five years at an annual rate of 14%, with a one-year grace period.
Entrepreneurs will also receive a 50% discount on advertising their products and services during sports broadcasts on central and regional television channels within Uzbekistan’s National Television and Radio Company system.
