Apple is actively working on the release of a major update to its operating system - iOS 18, expected to be one of the most significant in the history of the company. The update is expected to be unveiled at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).
Apple's head of software engineering, Craig Federighi, emphasized that the new version of the operating system, codenamed Crystal, heralds significant changes in various aspects of the system.
Among the key innovations in iOS 18, expect an updated version of Siri voice assistant, enriched with AI features and the ability to use larger language models. The Messages app plans to integrate AI to provide recommendations and automatically complete texts. For Apple Music, new AI features are being introduced to create personalized playlists. Generative AI features are also expected to appear in iWork apps such as Keynote and Pages. These same features will be integrated into Xcode to improve the app development process.
