Artificial Intelligence and Dual Education Being Introduced into Andijan’s Textile Industry

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the operations of "Eco Cotton," a knitwear manufacturing enterprise located in the Andijan district.
The project was implemented in accordance with a decree issued by the Head of State on June 29, 2026, aimed at supporting the deep processing of cotton fiber. The enterprise uses local raw materials to produce eco-friendly textile goods that meet international standards, supplying both domestic and foreign markets.
The entrepreneur invested $10 million in the project and created 1,000 permanent jobs. Once the enterprise reaches full capacity, annual contributions to the state budget will amount to 25 billion soums.
To enhance workforce skills, a dual education system has been implemented. Young people acquire theoretical knowledge alongside practical training directly on the production floor.
The production process is organized according to modern standards. State-of-the-art automated conveyor equipment, manufactured by a leading Chinese company, has been installed. All processes are monitored via a digital control system.
Special attention is also paid to environmental requirements. Production waste is sent for recycling, thereby minimizing its negative impact on the environment.
The enterprise's technological capabilities are particularly noteworthy. It utilizes sewing machines powered by artificial intelligence. An intelligent system automatically adjusts the sewing process in real-time based on the fabric type, ensuring high precision and flawless stitching quality. Additionally, humanoid robots are being used on an experimental basis.
The enterprise has an annual production capacity of 9.4 million units across 30 types of high-quality knitwear products. The total value of the manufactured goods amounts to 135.3 billion soums. Thanks to optimal production costs and high quality, the products are competitive with those from leading manufacturers in Turkey, Vietnam, China, and India.
The enterprise has an annual export potential of $10.5 million. High-quality knitwear produced in Andijan is supplied to markets in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, and Moldova.

Information was also presented regarding the work being done in the region with young people, including vocational and foreign language training, employment support, and the fostering of entrepreneurial initiatives.
