Artificial Intelligence Center for Youth Established in Balykchi

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Artificial Intelligence Center in the Balykchi district and reviewed startup projects created by young people.
The center was established by the "Akademiya IT Star" enterprise in accordance with a decree issued by the Head of State on February 26, 2024, aimed at boosting service exports in the digitalization sector.
Information technology is becoming one of the most sought-after fields among young people. Therefore, it is crucial to expand opportunities in the regions for mastering modern IT professions, developing practical skills, and creating competitive software products.
The total cost of the project is 15 billion soums, and the center has created 100 jobs.
The center enables young people from rural areas and districts to acquire modern skills and professions without having to travel far from home. Training is provided in areas such as marketing, programming, and robotics, with young people applying the knowledge they gain to practical projects.
Local entrepreneurs also make effective use of the center's facilities, receiving IT services and business development consultations based on artificial intelligence. To date, services worth 8.5 billion soums have been provided to more than 500 business entities.
Currently, the region's 65,000 business entities require over 129,000 specialists—including SMM managers, mobile content creators, graphic designers, marketers, data analysts, and AI specialists. The center's educational programs have been designed with this demand in mind.
The Head of State examined the startups created by the youth in detail and highly commended their knowledge and intellectual potential. During a candid conversation, the young men and women shared new initiatives and proposals aimed at further developing the country's startup ecosystem.
