Bahrain-2025: Uzbekistan won five gold medals and excelled in the ring

At the ongoing 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, the Uzbek delegation enjoyed another triumphant day — five boxers advanced to the semifinals, while the nation’s athletes claimed five gold and one silver medal, securing second place in the overall standings.

The Asian Youth Games Bahrain-2025 continue at full speed, and Uzbekistan’s young athletes keep delivering strong results.

In Yesterday’s boxing quarterfinals, six Uzbek fighters entered the ring, and five of them claimed decisive victories, earning their places in the semifinals.

Boxing results:
−50 kg: Nazokat Mardonova — defeated Maral Tolepbergen (Kazakhstan) 5:0
−54 kg: Kumriniso Muhammadova — defeated Wu Chie-Ju (Chinese Taipei) 5:0
−60 kg: Rushanabonu Isoeva — technical knockout vs. Indira Kidirmoldayeva (Kazakhstan)
−66 kg: Ulbusin Jalgasbayeva — defeated Nannaphat Mungpingklang (Thailand) 5:0

−46 kg: Abdugani Yarkinjonov — defeated Abdurahim Ovezguliyev (Turkmenistan) 5:0

Meanwhile, it was a golden day for Uzbekistan across other sports as well — athletes earned five gold medals and one silver.

Team Uzbekistan currently holds second place in the overall standings, just behind China, with 14 gold, 5 silver, and 9 bronze medals.

Today, Uzbek athletes will also compete in swimming, 3x3 basketball, weightlifting, volleyball, camel racing, and cycling.
