Bakhtiyor Saidov Holds Talks with the Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Iran

Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held separate bilateral meetings with Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Foreign Ministers.
During talks with Yermek Kosherbayev, the two sides reaffirmed the high level of strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The ministers reviewed the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, discussed the bilateral agenda, and exchanged views on cooperation within the SCO as well as current regional and international issues.
In his meeting with Abbas Araghchi, Saidov discussed prospects for further expanding multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran. Particular attention was given to enhancing collaboration in trade, transport and logistics, along with other priority sectors.
The two ministers also expressed serious concern over the continuing tensions in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of restraint and the resumption of dialogue. They further reaffirmed their readiness to maintain close cooperation within international organizations.
