Bekzod Kurbanov Takes Second Place at International Show Jumping Tournament in Germany

Uzbekistan national team rider Bekzod Kurbanov took second place in a 145 cm class at the Chiemsee Pferdefestival 2026 international show jumping tournament in Germany. The CSI2* event was held from September 2 to 6 and brought together more than 300 athletes from over 20 countries.

On September 5, Bekzod Kurbanov competed with his horse Matts V.G. in the 145 cm class and delivered a strong performance against international competition. The Uzbek rider finished second in the event.

Uzbekistan was represented at the tournament by two national team athletes — Bakhromjon Gaziev and Bekzod Kurbanov. The competition programme included courses with obstacles reaching up to 145 cm in height.

Kurbanov also competed on September 4 in a CSI2* 145 cm class. Riding Matts V.G., he completed the course in 76.68 seconds, with three knockdowns.

On the final day of the tournament, September 6, the rider competed in the prestigious CSI2* Grand Prix of Ising – Longines Ranking Point Group D. The obstacles were 145 cm high, with more than 50 riders taking part. Kurbanov completed the course in 39.34 seconds with one knockdown.

Bakhromjon Gaziev also represented Uzbekistan at the tournament. On the opening competition day, he competed with Santos Hippica in a class featuring 130 cm obstacles. On September 3, the pair returned to the course in a 140 cm class. Gaziev completed the course in 64.81 seconds, recording two errors at the obstacles.

The Chiemsee Pferdefestival 2026 was held from September 2 to 6 at Gut Ising in Ising am Chiemsee, Germany. The CSI2* tournament brought together more than 300 athletes from over 20 countries and featured courses with obstacles up to 145 cm high.

The participation of Bekzod Kurbanov and Bakhromjon Gaziev marked another international appearance for representatives of Uzbekistan’s national team.
