BMB HOLDING and Kazakhstan discussed further development of trade and economic cooperation, export expansion, tourism ties and new opportunities for attracting investment. The meeting between BMB HOLDING Deputy General Director Khairulla Nabizhonov and Nurlan Makazhanov, Trade and Economic Adviser at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, was held on October 6.
The sides reviewed opportunities to increase export potential and expand the geography of supplies. Particular attention was given to BMB HOLDING’s entry into the Kazakh market, cooperation with new buyers, and the export of agricultural and deeply processed products stored at the holding’s warehouses, taking into account market demand.
The meeting also noted the consistent development of economic cooperation between the two countries. Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan reached $5 billion in 2025. During the presidents’ meeting in Bukhara in April 2026, the two sides set a goal of increasing this figure to $10 billion in the near term.
Tourism was another focus of the talks. The sides agreed to establish direct contacts with Kazakh tour operators, tourism companies and DMCs. They will be provided with information about ZA’FARON PREMIUM HOTEL, commercial offers and cooperation terms. More than 2.17 million foreign citizens arrived in Uzbekistan from Kazakhstan in January–August 2026.
The investment agenda included identifying potential investors in Kazakhstan, presenting BMB HOLDING’s prospective projects and establishing direct dialogue with interested parties. Developing systematic cooperation with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan was identified as an important task.
The meeting continued talks held in August between Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Founders’ Council of BMB HOLDING, and Yerali Tugzhanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan. The sides agreed to continue practical cooperation in trade, exports, tourism and investment.
