BMB HOLDING Considers IPO as a New Tool for Attracting Investment

Business

BMB HOLDING is considering a potential IPO as one of the prospective directions for its future development. The issue has gained additional relevance following initiatives outlined by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his open dialogue with entrepreneurs on August 20.

BMB HOLDING Considers IPO as a New Tool for Attracting Investment
The President proposed launching an acceleration programme, in cooperation with leading investment banks, to prepare companies for IPOs. The initiative also envisages selecting 50 companies with annual revenues exceeding UZS 1 trillion, preparing them for public offerings and covering half of the costs associated with financial reporting in line with international standards.

For BMB HOLDING, a potential entry into the capital market could provide an additional mechanism for attracting capital and broadening its investor base. A public offering of shares would give local investors an opportunity to participate directly in the company’s future development.

At the same time, it is important to note that an IPO is currently being considered as a prospective option, rather than representing a confirmed decision to conduct a public offering.

For BMB HOLDING, the issue comes amid efforts to strengthen corporate reporting and financial transparency. The holding has previously announced plans to transition a number of its group companies to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

An IPO could become another development instrument for BMB HOLDING, providing the company with access to additional capital while giving investors an opportunity to participate in its future growth.
