BMB HOLDING Discusses Investment and Financial Cooperation in Luxembourg
Business
During a European business trip, Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Founders Board of BMB HOLDING, held two meetings in Luxembourg on 27 October focused on expanding the holding’s production and export capacity and attracting long-term financing. He met Diyor Yakubov, Chairman of the Uzbekistan–Luxembourg Business Association and CEO of Wetrust Lëtzebuerg, and Andrey Chizhov, a representative of PwC in Luxembourg.
At the meeting with Yakubov, the parties reviewed the investment potential of BMB HOLDING’s ongoing projects, options for attracting additional capital and prospects for increasing production capacity. The aim is to raise export performance and expand deliveries to overseas markets.
They also discussed supplying the Luxembourg market with products made by processing agricultural raw materials grown in Uzbekistan. These included goods with high added value and saffron. Other topics included expanding export destinations, establishing new business contacts in Europe and strengthening the position of the holding’s products in international markets.
The second meeting was held with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium. In talks with PwC representative Andrey Chizhov, participants discussed securing additional resources for current projects, bringing BMB HOLDING’s financial reporting into line with international standards, and organizing the restructuring of funds raised previously.
The parties also considered refinancing loans issued by domestic commercial banks for projects through international financial institutions and foreign funding sources. The initiative is expected to strengthen the holding’s financial stability and broaden its investment opportunities.
Following the talks, the parties reached agreements on attracting long-term investment for BMB HOLDING projects, identifying optimal financing mechanisms and developing them jointly. Both meetings focused on practical ways to develop the holding’s projects, expand production capacity and increase exports.
