At a meeting with Peter Pal, founder of ICG, the parties focused on a project to grow industrial hemp in Uzbekistan, process it locally and export finished products to European Union markets. Based in Zurich, ICG is an international investment group active in private capital and lending.

The participants reviewed the project’s investment potential, the organization of production and plans for supplying overseas markets. ICG representatives expressed readiness to purchase the entire volume of products grown and processed under the project. This could help coordinate the process from production through international delivery and establish long-term commercial prospects.

Mamatkulov also met Antonio Donnoli, Head of Commercial and Investment Affairs at B Capital Partners. The Zurich-based company specializes in investments in sustainable infrastructure projects, including energy and infrastructure with a long-term investment horizon.

The talks focused on attracting additional capital to existing BMB HOLDING projects to expand production and increase exports. The sides discussed the investment potential of ongoing projects, possible financing arrangements and opportunities to scale up production capacity in stages. They also considered more efficient allocation of investment, better use of existing production resources and expansion of overseas deliveries, drawing on investment experience.

The meetings form part of BMB HOLDING’s efforts to strengthen international business ties, develop new production areas and increase Uzbekistan’s export potential. After the talks with B Capital Partners, Mamatkulov departed Zurich for Luxembourg to continue negotiations during the European business trip.
