Uzbekistan striker Eldor Shomurodov has been shortlisted for the Best Goal award at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. FIFA included his spectacular strike among the tournament's 12 best goals, alongside goals scored by some of football's biggest stars.

The FIFA fan vote features 12 goals, including strikes by Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, as well as Ferran Torres' title-winning goal against Argentina in the final.

Shomurodov earned his nomination for the goal he scored during the group-stage match against DR Congo. In the 10th minute, the Uzbek forward found the net from a tight angle, lifting the ball over the opposing goalkeeper. Earlier in the tournament, the goal was named the Best Goal of the World Cup group stage.
