60% of American voters would prefer that President Joe Biden be replaced as a candidate in the upcoming presidential election. This was reported by Axios, citing the results of a poll conducted by Morning Consult.
According to the study, 60% of respondents believe Biden should "definitely" or "probably" be replaced as the Democratic Party's candidate following his performance in the June 27 debates.
Of Democratic voters, 21% say Biden should "definitely not" be replaced.
Additionally, more than half of those who watched the debates said that presidential candidate Donald Trump outperformed Biden. Specifically, this was acknowledged by 19% of Democrats, 60% of independents, and 93% of Republicans.
The poll was conducted among approximately 2,000 adult residents of the United States.
