Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent Named Among World’s Most Beautiful Museums

The Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent has been included in the 2026 list of the world’s most beautiful museums by the prestigious Prix Versailles.
The selection committee in Paris confirmed that the Center met criteria of innovation, creativity, cultural heritage representation and environmental efficiency. It is also eligible to compete for the 2026 Grand Prix Versailles and awards in the Interior or Exterior categories. The winners will be announced at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
According to the Center’s director, the project was initiated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and has become a symbol of the country’s cultural revival.
The official opening of the Center is scheduled for March 2026.
