Centrum Air Launches Direct Flights from Tashkent to Sri Lanka

Centrum Air will launch regular direct flights from Tashkent to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in southern Sri Lanka on October 28, 2026. The flights will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, through the end of March 2027.
The route will be operated by Airbus A320 family aircraft. Ticket prices start from UZS 4.3 million.
The new route will connect Tashkent with Hambantota in southern Sri Lanka. The flights will operate during the season when the country’s southern coast offers warm weather and favourable conditions for beach holidays and surfing.
Yala National Park is located near Hambantota, offering opportunities to observe wildlife, including leopards and elephants. Blue whale watching is available off the coast of Mirissa. Visitors can also explore ancient temples and the island’s tea plantations.
The direct service will allow travellers from Uzbekistan to reach southern Sri Lanka without connecting flights during the winter tourism season.
