During official talks in Beijing, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi confirmed Beijing’s readiness to continue supporting the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan under the “New Uzbekistan” strategy. He emphasized Uzbekistan’s significant role in strengthening regional stability and expanding cooperation.
Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Wang Yi discussed prospects for deeper cooperation, highlighting political dialogue, trade and economic projects, and security issues.
Following the meeting, the sides signed a protocol on strategic dialogue and cooperation programs for 2026–2027, outlining new joint initiatives in diplomatic, economic, and humanitarian spheres.
