During tests, the vehicle reached speeds of 120 km/h, successfully crossing a 2.5-meter-deep ditch and a 4-meter-long row of metal spikes. This technology enhances cornering stability and reduces vibrations during braking.
The Yangwang U9 is equipped with an autonomous driving system, allowing it to operate without human input. BYD collaborated with DJI and Horizon Robotics to develop this technology. The hypercar is powered by four electric motors, generating a total of 1,287 horsepower, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.36 seconds.
Priced at $236,000 in China, the Yangwang U9 not only highlights advanced technological achievements but also represents a leap into the next generation of vehicles. While not yet available in Europe, the car recorded a time of 7 minutes and 17 seconds at the Nürburgring track, placing it among the top supercars.
