Uzbekistan
According to Resolution No. 247 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 15, 2023, “On establishing the procedure for selling surplus electricity produced by individuals and business entities using renewable energy sources,” citizens can sell excess electricity to the state.
Under the “Sunny Home” program, households with solar panels installed can receive a subsidy of 1,000 UZS per kilowatt of electricity produced in excess of their needs. This means the state purchases electricity from citizens at a rate of 1,000 UZS per kilowatt.
To receive this subsidy, it is necessary to register via the “Soliq” mobile application.
Entrepreneurs can sell electricity generated by solar, wind, and biogas power plants at a rate of 720 UZS per kilowatt. To sign a contract, they need to contact the district (city) branches of “Hududiy Elektr Tarmoqlari” JSC.
