Tragic Accident in Russia Claims Lives of 7 Uzbek Citizens

On September 1, 2024, a tragic road accident occurred on the M-12 "Vostok" highway in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region, resulting in the deaths of seven Uzbek citizens. Three more were hospitalized with various injuries in local medical facilities.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia expresses its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured. The Uzbek government is taking all necessary measures to swiftly address the organizational issues related to the repatriation of the deceased to their homeland.
This matter is under special control by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Embassy in Moscow. The Consulate General in Kazan and the Agency for External Labor Migration are providing necessary assistance at the scene.
