Zampolli made the statement during his visit to Uzbekistan in an interview with the Tahlilnoma programme on Uzbekistan 24. He noted that the US president has an extremely busy schedule, but said the issue of a possible visit continues to be promoted.

“I know that he wants to come to Uzbekistan. The President’s schedule is extremely busy. But he told me that he wants to visit Uzbekistan. I also always push this issue. So, one day he will definitely visit Uzbekistan. We hope that this visit will take place as soon as possible,” Zampolli said.

The special envoy also highlighted the development of relations between Uzbekistan and the United States. He said the two countries had laid a strong foundation for further cooperation.

There has been no official announcement of a date for Trump’s visit to Uzbekistan. At the same time, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has previously invited the US president to visit the country at a convenient time. During a phone conversation on August 7, 2026, Mirziyoyev again invited Trump to make an official visit to Uzbekistan.

Zampolli is currently in Uzbekistan on a working visit. He has also held meetings with Uzbek officials to discuss prospects for further bilateral cooperation.
