As of April 11, 2025, new amendments to Uzbekistan’s Administrative Responsibility Code impose fines for driving on lanes designated for public transportation.

First-time violators will be fined 375,000 UZS, and repeat offenses within a year will cost 1.125 million UZS. Similar penalties apply for driving on bike lanes, sidewalks, and green areas.

Unlawful installation of road barriers now also carries penalties: 1.875 million UZS for individuals and up to 7.5 million UZS for officials.

These measures aim to ease public transport flow, improve road safety, and ensure better conditions for pedestrians and cyclists.
