E5 nations agree on joint drone production

Defense ministers of Poland, France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom have agreed to expand defense cooperation, including joint production of unmanned systems. The meeting took place in Krakow under the E5 format.
Participants discussed support for Ukraine, strengthening defense industries, enhancing military readiness and countering hybrid threats. The talks were joined by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas and NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska.
Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said the initiative aims to accelerate armed forces modernization, expand drone production and integrate artificial intelligence technologies, reflecting lessons learned from the war in Ukraine.
