EAEU Prime Ministers Sign New Agreements and Set Integration Priorities

Prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) concluded the expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Cholpon-Ata by signing three agreements aimed at advancing regional integration. Representatives of observer states, including Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, also took part in the session.
The agreements cover electronic commerce, mutual access for brokers and dealers to organized stock exchange trading across EAEU member states, and the mutual recognition of academic titles. According to Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the e-commerce agreement is designed to protect the rights and economic interests of participants in cross-border electronic trade.
Participants reviewed more than 15 items on the Union's economic agenda, including food security, the development of common oil and petroleum product markets, digitalization of freight transport, product traceability, climate policy and competition in cross-border markets.
Addressing the meeting, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov proposed creating a common digital space with the EAEU, expanding mutual recognition of electronic documents, launching a smart transport and customs corridor, and developing a joint green industrial transformation program. He also called for integrating Uzbekistan's National Digital Employment Platform with the EAEU's "Work Without Borders" system and promoting cross-border tourism routes.
