Elon Musk Becomes World’s Only Trillionaire Again as SpaceX and Tesla Rise
Musk’s fortune increased by about $65 billion in a single day. Bloomberg recorded a 6.7% daily increase and a 32.4% rise compared with the previous year.

The main driver was an increase in the value of Musk’s assets. On October 6, SpaceX shares reached $171, gaining more than 7% in one day and nearly 15% since the beginning of the month. Tesla shares rose by more than 5% to $378.

Investor interest in SpaceX increased following the first successful orbital launch of Starship on September 28. During the mission, the company sent 26 Starlink satellites into space.

Forbes also valued Musk’s fortune at $1 trillion on October 5, up $65.3 billion from the previous trading day.

Musk first reached the $1 trillion mark on June 12 following the listing of SpaceX shares. At the time, the company’s stock rose for several consecutive days amid strong investor demand, while its market capitalization peaked above $2 trillion.

However, SpaceX shares fell 30% over the following week. One factor was investor concern over high valuations of companies linked to artificial intelligence. Tesla shares were also hit by a sell-off in the technology sector, reducing Musk’s estimated fortune.

With SpaceX and Tesla shares rising again, Musk has once more crossed the $1 trillion threshold and regained his position as the world’s only trillionaire.
