FEI Sets Priorities for Supporting Equestrian Development in 2027–2028

The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has reviewed programmes supporting national federations and outlined future development priorities at a meeting of the FEI Solidarity Committee in Lausanne. Bahromjon Gaziyev, Chairman of the Equestrian Federation of Uzbekistan and a member of the Committee representing Regional Group III, took part in the meeting.
The session was held from August 27 to 29, 2026, at FEI headquarters in Switzerland. Participants reviewed upcoming championships and Games, ongoing FEI Solidarity projects, and the activities of the PAEC Academy, including its involvement in international initiatives in Argentina and Uruguay.
A separate part of the agenda focused on FEI education programmes and support mechanisms for national federations. Initiatives in Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and Jamaica aimed at developing equestrian sport and strengthening the capacities of national federations were reviewed as practical examples.
The Committee also assessed the results of completed projects and their key performance indicators, identified priorities for the second half of the year, and considered financial matters related to the FEI Solidarity Fund and the proposed 2027 budget.
The discussions also helped define key areas of work for 2027–2028, with particular attention expected to be given to countries and national federations where equestrian sport is undergoing active development.
Bahromjon Gaziyev participated in the meeting as a member of the FEI Solidarity Committee representing Regional Group III. Uzbekistan's participation in FEI structures enables its national federation to contribute to international discussions on programmes supporting the development of equestrian sport.
