The attack occurred on February 28 at the girls’ primary school Shadzhare Tayebe school in Minab district, Hormozgan province. Iranian authorities blamed the strike on the United States and Israel.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reported 171 deaths among schoolgirls, while earlier figures mentioned 165 victims.

On February 28, airstrikes were reportedly carried out by USA and Israel on targets inside Iran, including the capital Tehran, causing destruction and civilian casualties.

Iran has responded by striking Israeli territory and U.S. military facilities in the Middle East region. The U.S. and Israel stated that the operation aims to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
