Gianni Infantino Attends Opening of FIFA Arena at Tashkent School No. 90

FIFA President Gianni Infantino is in Uzbekistan on an official visit on 29–30 September. As part of the visit, he attended the official opening of a new football pitch at School No. 90 in the capital, built under the FIFA Arena project.
The FIFA delegation was received in Uzbekistan by Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov and Ravshan Irmatov, First Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Football Association.
The programme includes visits to a number of projects and facilities aimed at further promoting football, developing sports infrastructure and strengthening international cooperation. Particular attention is being given to football development in Uzbekistan and support for young talent.
The opening ceremony of the new pitch at School No. 90 was attended by the Minister of Sports, representatives of the Uzbekistan Football Association and football veterans. They wished the students success in making effective use of the new facility, training regularly and achieving strong results in the future.
The new pitch provides schoolchildren with additional opportunities to play football and helps create more convenient conditions for regular training. The project is also intended to encourage greater participation in sport among students by expanding access to football facilities at schools.
At the end of the ceremony, FIFA President Gianni Infantino presented commemorative gifts to the children. He also joined the participants for a group photograph.
