The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has significantly reduced the growth forecast of world trade in goods and services in 2023 after growth of 5.1% in 2022. This is stated in the report of the international organisation.

"The forecast for world trade growth this year is down 1.1 per cent from July. At the same time, the volume of world trade in goods and services increased by 5.1 per cent in 2022," IMF experts said.

The report said world trade will grow by 3.5 per cent in 2024, down 0.2 per cent from the previous forecast.
