Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known insider and analyst at TF International Securities, predicts that iPhone sales in 2024 could drop by 15 per cent due to falling demand in China.

iPhone sales are expected to decline in 2024
Kuo notes that Apple plans to order 200 million fewer semiconductor components for iPhone production, which will lead to a 10-15% year-on-year reduction in smartphone shipments. He attributes this decision of the company to a decrease in demand for iPhones in China and competition from devices with flexible screens in the market of premium smartphones.

The analyst also assumes that by the end of 2024, Apple will show the largest decline in smartphone market share among the largest manufacturers. This means that Samsung will once again take the leading position in terms of sales volume.

In addition, Kuo shared his general thoughts on the future iPhone 16 series. In his opinion, the 2024 smartphones will not receive significant innovations, and the main focus will be on the integration of artificial intelligence in the iOS 18 operating system.
