Ismail Akhmedkhodjaev Brings Rossa Racing Victory at Spa-Francorchamps

Uzbek driver Ismail Akhmedkhodjaev helped Rossa Racing secure a victory at the fourth round of the Ultimate Cup Series in Belgium. At the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, the team recorded two pole positions and two race wins.
On September 20, Akhmedkhodjaev competed in the Ultimate GT Sprint Cup alongside Roman Rusinov in the Rossa LM GT, a car developed as part of the engineering programme founded by Rusinov. The result followed the crew’s European success in July, when Rusinov and Akhmedkhodjaev won at Mugello.
Qualifying at Spa took place on a dry track and delivered two pole positions for Rossa Racing. Conditions changed by race day, with rain repeatedly altering the track surface and requiring constant adaptation from the drivers. Akhmedkhodjaev maintained a strong pace and converted his pole into victory in his race.
The Belgian round therefore ended with two poles and two victories for Rossa Racing. The Ultimate Cup Series event at Spa-Francorchamps ran from September 18 to 20 and featured four categories: prototypes, GT Endurance, GT Sprint and Formula.
“Spa is a very technical circuit where every lap requires full concentration, especially when the weather keeps changing. That is why it is particularly satisfying to finish at the top of the podium here, at one of the most famous circuits in world motorsport, and to represent Uzbekistan at this level. Thank you to the whole team for the work and to Roman for this weekend,” Akhmedkhodjaev said.
Ultimate GT Sprint Cup brings together short, intensive races at leading European circuits. The weekend format consists of two 35-minute races, where precise driving, consistent pace and the ability to react quickly on track are crucial.
For Akhmedkhodjaev, the Spa result marked another strong performance in his international season. In July, the Rusinov-Akhmedkhodjaev crew won the Ultimate GT Sprint Cup round at Mugello, where the Rossa LM GT also secured pole position.
