Since the beginning of the year, courts have reviewed more than 138 thousand cases of administrative offenses. The most common reasons were hooliganism, traffic violations, and disobedience to law enforcement officers.
The courts of Uzbekistan reviewed 138.5 thousand cases of administrative offenses in the first quarter of 2025. 162.7 thousand people became defendants, of which more than 105 thousand were punished. Such data were published by the press service of the country's Supreme Court.
Among the most common violations are petty hooliganism, disobedience to law enforcement officers, illegal transportation, as well as energy supply violations and public insults. Often, cases involving minor injuries, traffic violations, drinking in public places, driving under the influence of alcohol, and carrying a cold weapon were heard in court.
At the same time, the reconciliation mechanism allowed for the removal of responsibility from 19,200 citizens, which significantly reduced the burden on the courts.
1,6 thousand appeals cases were also reviewed: in 637 cases, the decisions were overturned, and in 577 cases, the decisions were corrected. 2.4 thousand cases were reviewed in cassation, of which 1 thousand sentences were overturned, and another 625 were amended.
According to the results of 2024, Tashkent was recognized as the region with the highest number of registered crimes in the country.
