The forum&rsquo;s business programme included B2B meetings between tour operators, providing an opportunity to discuss joint tourism products and establish new business contacts. According to figures presented in the forum materials, the number of tourists arriving in Uzbekistan from Georgia increased by 25.9% in January&ndash;July 2026. Overall, around 7.75 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan during the first seven months of the year, up 22.6% from the same period in 2025. The share of small businesses in the banking credit portfolio has increased from 45% to 63%. During the first half of the year alone, 76.5 trillion soums was allocated to small and medium-sized businesses. A Unified Digital Portal for Credit Services has also been launched, allowing entrepreneurs to submit a single application while banks compete for customers. Start-up businesses will be eligible for online loans of up to 5 billion soums. Three programmes &mdash; &ldquo;Business Start&rdquo;, &ldquo;Business Development&rdquo; and &ldquo;Business Growth&rdquo; &mdash; are planned to support companies at different stages. Under &ldquo;Business Start&rdquo;, entrepreneurs will be able to use AI to prepare projects, loan documentation and reports. The programme will receive 100 billion soums and provide access to unsecured loans of up to 200 million soums. A counter-guarantee system will be introduced to address collateral requirements. For loans of up to 10 billion soums, the state will cover 30% of the collateral, the business guarantee company another 30%, and banks 15%, leaving entrepreneurs to provide 25%. Access to state assets and land will also be eased. The advance payment required to purchase state property will be reduced from 30% to 15%. Entrepreneurs who pay the full amount within six months will receive a 25% discount. Meanwhile, 105 new industrial and infrastructure projects worth a combined $27 billion are planned for launch this year. A list of 50 products targeted for localisation has been prepared. &ldquo;Bond industrial zones&rdquo; will be established within the special economic zones of Navoi, Jizzakh, Namangan, Urgut and Khazorasp. These zones will be exempt from taxes and customs duties on imports of raw materials and components. The president said that thousands of issues hindering business development had been addressed over five years through the open dialogue format. During this period, 84 laws and 861 presidential decrees and resolutions were adopted. The credit portfolio allocated to businesses nearly tripled to 450 trillion soums, while entrepreneurs benefited from 650 trillion soums in tax and customs incentives. &ldquo;Today, our entrepreneurs are moving from the stage of &lsquo;starting a business&rsquo; to the stage of &lsquo;increasing capital&rsquo;,&rdquo; Mirziyoyev said. Over the past five years, business investment in fixed capital tripled to 363 trillion soums. The number of districts with industrial turnover exceeding $100 million rose from 66 to 116, while the number of districts where services exceeded 1 trillion soums increased from 41 to 152. The number of companies operating through leading international marketplaces reached 3,500. The president also highlighted the expansion of business opportunities in Khorezm. Within a relatively short period, the region attracted $4 billion in foreign investment and commissioned 10,000 new production capacities. The Hazorasp Special Economic Zone and 31 industrial zones have been established. Small businesses account for 72% of Khorezm&rsquo;s economy and 81% of its exports. Weekly air services increased from 16 to 102, while rail services rose from eight to 41. Tourism infrastructure is also being expanded. Extensive green spaces and alleys have been created around it, and landscaping work has been carried out as part of the national &quot;Yashil Makon&quot; project. A three-star hotel has been built next to the Congress Hall to create comfortable conditions for participants in international events and tourists. The 169 billion soum project has created 60 new jobs on a 1.6-hectare site. The four-story hotel features 156 rooms with 310 beds, a spacious lobby, reception, a restaurant-bar, a children&#39;s room, and a terrace. It also features a wellness area with an indoor pool, fitness and wellness areas. The hotel is a few minutes&#39; walk along green promenades to the Congress Hall, the Bokiy Shahar Historical and Ethnographic Park, and the crafts market. The head of state also toured the Khiva Ichan-Kala Reception House. The complex, covering a total area of 2 hectares, is designed to host official events and receive foreign delegations. The project cost is 260 billion soums. The building&#39;s architecture makes extensive use of monumental carved wooden columns, ganch elements, and blue and turquoise tiles, characteristic of Khorezm. Photo exhibitions reflecting the region&#39;s rich history and folk craft workshops are located around the Reception House. Here, the head of state also warmly engaged with representatives of the Khorezm region&#39;s public. During the conversation, they discussed the large-scale transformations taking place in the region in recent years, as well as changes in people&#39;s lifestyles and thinking. It was noted that the creative spirit of development and renewal of the New Uzbekistan is increasingly felt in the ancient Khorezm land.
