Leader of Uzbekistan Receives Foreign Minister of Tajikistan

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, who arrived in the country to participate in the "C5+1" format meeting of foreign ministers.
At the beginning of the meeting, the guest conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to the head of state.
The two sides reviewed key aspects of further deepening the friendly, good-neighborly, and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, in the context of implementing agreements reached at the highest level.
The growing momentum of the partnership across all sectors was noted with satisfaction. Mutual trade volumes and freight traffic are on the rise. Cooperation projects in the fields of energy, industry, agriculture, and water management are currently in an active phase.
The importance of intensifying cultural, humanitarian, educational, and tourism exchanges was emphasized.
The parties also discussed current issues on the regional agenda.
