As part of the business program of his visit to the Republic of Korea, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Kim Bok-hwan, CEO of the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND).
The meeting addressed expanding cooperation in the development of transport and social infrastructure in Uzbekistan. The parties welcomed the establishment of a joint investment platform.
Emphasis was placed on the importance of creating an integrated ecosystem—combining science, industry, and modern technologies—within the framework of the new project to establish a scientific-industrial bio-cluster.
The parties noted the need to prepare a master plan for the development of the area surrounding the new Tashkent International Airport, integrating the airport itself, advanced logistics hubs, and urban residential infrastructure into a unified system.
