Military Parade Held in Dushanbe to Mark Tajikistan’s 35th Independence Anniversary

Tajikistan held celebrations on September 7 to mark the 35th anniversary of the country’s State Independence. The central event was a military parade at Independence Square in Dushanbe, attended by Tajik President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Emomali Rahmon, as well as Chairman of the Majlisi Milli and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali.
The parade in the capital was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and was held as part of celebrations marking Independence Day.
The event was attended by Tajik President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Army General Emomali Rahmon, along with Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali.

Military parades were also held simultaneously in Khujand, Bokhtar and Khorugh. The events were attended by the heads of Sughd and Khatlon regions and the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region — Rajab Ahmadzoda, Davlatali Said and Sharifkhon Safarzoda.
