Mirziyoyev calls on HAMAS and Israel to ceasefire

President Mirziyoyev said that Uzbekistan supports the right of Palestine to establish its independent state. The President's press service reported.
"We express strong solidarity with the people of Palestine and support their right to establish their independent state in accordance with previously adopted resolutions of the General Assembly and the UN Security Council," the president said.
He also called on the parties to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict for a ceasefire and peaceful resolution of the conflict.
"I am convinced that further escalation of violence is fraught with large-scale destabilisation of the international situation, involvement of new forces in the armed confrontation.
All this can lead to hard-to-predict, tragic consequences that go far beyond the Middle East region," the head of state said.
