Mirziyoyev Visits Regional Industrial Fair in Andijan Region

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the regional industrial fair held in Andijan region. The fair showcased nearly 500 products from 110 enterprises. Notably, effective projects in various sectors were presented, including automotive and mechanical engineering, textiles, electrical equipment, digital technologies, construction materials, food industry, floriculture, beekeeping, fish farming, and more.

The Head of State familiarized himself with the wide range of products manufactured in the region and with advanced developments, holding conversations with the entrepreneurs behind them. He emphasized the importance of supporting successful practices and expanding them nationwide.

To this end, officials and entrepreneurs from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, other regions, and the city of Tashkent were invited to the fair. They exchanged views on joint production, cooperation, and trade.

Currently, there are more than 11,000 industrial enterprises operating in Andijan region, accounting for over 10% of the country’s total industry.

Specifically, 47 industrial zones have been established in the region. A total of 1,000 projects worth 2.3 trillion soums have been implemented there, providing jobs for 18,000 people. In 2024 alone, products worth 1 trillion soums were produced in these zones, with exports reaching approximately $31 million.

At present, 288 investment projects worth $1 billion are under implementation.

This year, 119 projects are planned to be launched, creating more than 4,000 new jobs. The export of industrial products is expected to reach $47 million.

Following last year’s presidential visit, 16 hectares of land were allocated in the Oltinkol district to establish a cluster-based furniture production complex. This complex now hosts over 100 workshops, 236 showrooms, and retail outlets.
