"Obviously the war remaining a stalemate for the rest of this year is what we expect," he emphasised.

The regular NATO summit was held in Washington on 9-11 July.

As part of the NATO summit, the Hungarian prime minister visited Donald Trump's private residence in Florida. “We discussed ways to make peace. The good news of the day: he’s going to solve it!” Viktor Orbán wrote on social network X. In turn, the former US president thanked Orbán. "There must be PEACE, and quickly. Too many people have died in a war that should have never started!" wrote Trump on his social network TruthSocial.
