Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan In recognition of their successful participation in the 46th World Chess Olympiad and the 3rd Chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities—held for the first time in our country, in the ancient city of Samarkand—and for brilliantly demonstrating high professional skill, intellectual potential, willpower, and resilience; for achieving victory among the strongest chess players and grandmasters from over 200 nations; for making a worthy contribution to enhancing the international standing and renown of New Uzbekistan; for setting a personal example in the widespread promotion of sports within the republic; and for significant achievements in raising the younger generation in a spirit of love and devotion to the Motherland and fostering feelings of national pride and patriotism, the following honorary titles, orders, and medals are hereby conferred:
