The Youth Asian Athletics Championship has started in Dubai, UAE. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Sports of Uzbekistan.
It is reported that on the first day of the competition, the Uzbekistan national team won 2 gold and 1 bronze medals.
Barnokhon Sayfullayeva took first place in the high jump program. The Uzbek athlete secured victory with a result of 1.83 meters. Another Uzbek athlete, Emiliya Rudina, who participated in this program, won a bronze medal with a result of 1.74 meters.
Also, in the triple jump sector, Khushnoza Shavkatova added another top-quality medal to the Uzbekistan delegation's collection. Her result was 13.33 meters.
