The Palestinian Ministerial Committee, comprising representatives from the Ministries of Culture, Interior, and Telecommunications, has announced the suspension of the broadcast operations of the Qatar-based Al Jazeera Media Network in Palestine.
The committee also ordered the temporary suspension of all journalists, staff, and channels affiliated with Al Jazeera. This decision will remain in effect until the network resolves its legal status in accordance with the laws and regulations of Palestine.
It is reported that the suspension is temporary and will continue until Al Jazeera adjusts its legal status in compliance with Palestinian legislation.
The committee stated that this decision was made due to Al Jazeera’s repeated violations of Palestinian laws and regulations. Authorities accused the network of broadcasting provocative content, spreading misinformation, and interfering in Palestine’s internal affairs, which they claimed caused division and instability.
