Peskov: Putin and Zelenskyy can meet, but on one condition
Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine must be concrete and constructive, so that it is possible to talk about a possible meeting between Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the results of the third round of peace consultations held on July 23 in Istanbul.

According to Peskov, the Kremlin did not expect breakthroughs from this round, but positively appraises the discussion of humanitarian issues and Russia's initiative to create working groups for online dialogue. He emphasized that the Russian side has presented a clear agenda, and now it is important to focus on its development.

"Talk about a meeting between the presidents is only possible after substantive preparations have been made," Peskov noted. Answering a question about the possibility of a meeting until the end of August, he called it unlikely due to the volume of work required.
