Plans for the development of infrastructure in Tashkent were discussed
A major initiative is the “Yangi Avlod” (New Generation) Special Industrial Zone, covering 774 hectares. Currently, 28 projects worth $800 million are being implemented on 268 hectares, while another 30 projects with total investments of $400 million are in preparation.

A key part of the plan is the construction of a $288 million multimodal logistics terminal in cooperation with Dubai-based company DP World, which will greatly expand the logistics capacity of Tashkent and the surrounding region.

In transport development, the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) system will be introduced on ten more streets of Tashkent, following the successful pilot on Shota Rustaveli Street. This will help reduce congestion and improve traffic safety and efficiency.

Next year, 1 trillion soums will be allocated from the local budget for the beautification of neighborhoods, creation of gastronomic streets, and modernization of irrigation systems.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized that the ongoing transformation of Tashkent should aim to create a modern, comfortable, and safe urban environment while stimulating entrepreneurship and economic growth.

Additionally, the meeting covered major projects in other regions, including initiatives to further enhance Bukhara’s tourism potential.
