President Announces Rewards for Chess and Para-Chess Olympiad Champions

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has announced a decision to reward the winners and medalists of the Chess and Para-Chess Olympiads, as well as their coaches. Champions Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Javohir Sindarov, Nodirbek Yakubboev, Mukhiddin Madaminov and Shamsiddin Vokhidov will receive homes and cars.
Para-chess players Ahadkhon Kimsanboyev, Marcel Shoyusupov, Sardorbek Mamarajabov, Selbi Kakishova and Sirojiddin Zayniddinov will also receive homes and cars. The national team head coaches Rustam Kasimdzhanov and Samandar Shermuhammadov will be awarded cars.
Each chess player who became an Olympic champion will receive a $200,000 cash prize, while their coach will receive $50,000. Each para-chess player who won a bronze medal will receive $50,000, with their coach receiving $12,500.
“Our chess players and para-chess players will drive their new cars and move into their new homes today,” the President said.
On September 28, the President also signed a decree awarding state honors to participants of the 46th World Chess Olympiad and the 3rd Para-Chess Olympiad. The document recognizes their contribution to enhancing Uzbekistan’s international standing, their professional skill and their role in promoting sport.
Under the decree, Mukhiddin Madaminov received the honorary title “Pride of Uzbekistan.” Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Shamsiddin Vokhidov and Nodirbek Yakubboev were awarded the honorary title “Honored Athlete of the Republic of Uzbekistan.” Javohir Sindarov received the “Fidokorona xizmatlari uchun” Order, while Rustam Kasimdzhanov and Samandar Shermuhammadov were awarded the honorary title “Honored Sports Coach of the Republic of Uzbekistan.”
The “Mardlik” Order was awarded to para-chess players Sirojiddin Zayniddinov, Selbi Kakishova, Ahadkhon Kimsanboyev, Sardorbek Mamarajabov and Marcel Shoyusupov.
During the meeting, the President also expressed gratitude to the athletes’ parents, mentors and coaches, as well as the team of the Uzbekistan Chess Federation.
“May these awards be not only recognition of your victory today, but also a symbol of great confidence in the even higher achievements that lie ahead,” Mirziyoyev said.
Concluding the meeting, the President wished the athletes further victories: “God willing, may our victories continue! Always stay healthy and safe, my dear children!”
