President of Uzbekistan Congratulates President of Tajikistan on His Birthday

On October 5, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
The Head of State warmly congratulated the leader of Tajikistan on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being, and great success in his important state duties for the prosperity of the fraternal Tajik people.
Current issues regarding the further development of Uzbek-Tajik relations—characterized by friendship, good-neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance—were reviewed.
The growing momentum of cooperation across all areas was noted with satisfaction. Trade volumes are steadily increasing, and mutually beneficial partnerships continue in sectors such as transport, energy, geology, agriculture, and water management.
Active inter-regional and cultural-humanitarian exchanges are also underway.
The leaders also exchanged views on the regional agenda and discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
