On October 8, on the sidelines of events in Avaza, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

Mutual trade volumes are growing, and 80 enterprises involving Armenian capital are successfully operating in Uzbekistan. Direct air links have been established between the capitals.
The importance of advancing cooperation projects in agriculture, tourism, and the jewelry, light, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries was emphasized.
In this context, the need for a productive upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and joint business events was highlighted.
