President of Uzbekistan Holds Meeting with the Emir of Qatar

On October 26, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who arrived in the country for a working visit.
At the beginning of the discussion, it was noted with satisfaction that, thanks to active high-level contacts and systematic efforts, relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar have reached the level of a strategic partnership.
It was highlighted that such close ties contribute to the further strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the progress in implementing agreements reached at the highest level. They agreed to further expand projects across the trade, economic, investment, social, and humanitarian spheres.
The leaders also exchanged views on current issues on the global and regional agenda.
