The event, held under the theme "Turkic Century: Unity in Language, Thought, and Action," was also attended by President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, and Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev.

The summit participants discussed the current agenda and explored prospects for further deepening practical cooperation among the member states.

At the beginning of his address, the Head of State expressed his gratitude to the President of Türkiye for the high-level organization of the summit in Ankara—a city situated at the crossroads of great civilizations.

It was also noted that the inauguration of a national-cultural complex representing the member states—held in the picturesque Beştepe Park just prior to the summit—marks an important step toward preserving the shared heritage of the Turkic peoples. Confidence was expressed that this magnificent structure will serve as a vivid symbol of the unity of the Turkic world.

The President of Uzbekistan emphasized that the current system of international relations is undergoing fundamental changes, with geopolitical competition intensifying. Ongoing armed conflicts and tensions in the regions surrounding the Turkic world are impacting prospects for security and development. In this regard, the head of our state emphasized the need to further consolidate the Organization of Turkic States as a platform for mutual trust and practical partnership.

“We are united on this noble path and are prepared to mobilize our efforts in the name of Turkic solidarity,” declared the President of Uzbekistan.

The head of our state put forward a number of significant initiatives designed to elevate cooperation among the Turkic states to a qualitatively new level.

The importance of holding regular political consultations on pressing international and regional issues within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States—as well as coordinating approaches and efforts—was underscored. To this end, it was proposed to initiate cooperation with third countries under an “Organization of Turkic States Plus” format, beginning with meetings between sectoral ministers.

“These dialogues should be aimed at implementing concrete joint projects in the fields of trade, transport, investment, and other priority areas,” noted Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

A proposal was made to adopt the “Turkic World – 100” program, which encompasses one hundred strategic joint investment and industrial projects, including the processing of rare minerals and the localization of equipment production for “green” energy. In this context, leveraging resources from the Turkic Investment Fund and international financial institutions will be of great importance for the realization of these projects.

Furthermore, with the aim of protecting the interests of entrepreneurs, an initiative was put forward to develop a multilateral agreement on “Mutual Legal Assistance in Commercial Matters,” as well as to create a digital platform for the electronic exchange of requests for legal assistance and related documentation.

Given the current shifts in global supply chains, the geographical location and transit potential of the Turkic states are taking on increasing strategic significance. To transform the Middle Corridor into a unified economic system, it has been proposed to establish a "Network of Logistics Centers of the Turkic States" and to manage it jointly. This will expand the participation of our nations in international freight transport and logistics, while also enhancing economic incentives.

To broaden tourism potential, a proposal has been put forward to create a "Turkic Tourism Alliance" and to develop a multilateral agreement aimed at simplifying travel between our countries, including the expansion of opportunities for travel using national ID cards.

A commitment has been expressed to provide annual educational grants to citizens of the Turkic states under the "New Uzbekistan" scholarship program for international students, which has been established in our country.

Furthermore, special gratitude was expressed for the support shown toward the initiative to designate 2027 as the "Year of Nature Conservation" within the framework of the organization. It was also noted with satisfaction that the International Alisher Navoi Award—named after the great thinker and statesman and established at the initiative of Uzbekistan—was presented to Dusen Kasseinov, a distinguished figure in the arts from Kazakhstan.

The great Alisher Navoi, who dedicated his entire life to the development of the Turkic language, once emphasized: "Those who do not command their own language shall not earn the respect of their people." In the spirit of the theme of today’s summit, I propose the creation of a "Dictionary of Common Turkic Vocabulary," which would encompass terms shared across our languages that are equally understood by all Turkic peoples.

“I am confident that today’s Ankara summit will serve as an important step toward achieving our noble goal, embodying the idea of solidarity, and realizing our ambitious plans. After all, we share similar dreams, hopes, and aspirations. When we are united, we become even stronger. By standing together, we will undoubtedly reach the highest milestones,” the head of our state declared at the conclusion of his address.

During the event, a decision was reached to support the candidacy of Uzbekistan’s representative, Mirvokhid Azimov, for the position of the organization’s new Secretary General, and to host the next summit in Uzbekistan next year.

Following the summit, the Ankara Declaration and a number of other documents were adopted, aimed at further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation among the member states of the organization.
