Russia Concludes State Duma Election as Preliminary Results Emerge

Russia has concluded three days of voting in the State Duma election, held from September 18 to 20. According to the Central Election Commission, United Russia received 57.82% of the federal party-list vote after 83.52% of protocols had been processed.
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation received 13.84%, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia 8.77%, and New People 7.07%. A Just Russia stood at 4.99%, just below the 5% threshold for representation through the party-list vote. The figures remain preliminary and may change as additional protocols are processed.
United Russia candidates were also leading in 208 of the 225 single-member districts. Communist Party candidates were ahead in five districts, while A Just Russia candidates and independents led in four each. LDPR candidates were ahead in two districts, and a Rodina candidate led in one.
Nationwide turnout was reported at around 57%. The Central Election Commission put turnout at 56.66% as voting concluded.
The election was held over three days and included both traditional and remote electronic voting. Russian authorities also reported cyberattacks targeting digital infrastructure connected with the electoral process.
Voting was also organized outside Russia. According to the figures provided, 326 polling stations were established in 152 countries, with about 212,000 people casting ballots abroad.
